About Doster Outfitting

My name is Zackary Doster, I am the owner and founder of Doster Outfitting. I specialize in only doing Arizona Bighorn Sheep hunts, which is my true passion in hunting. I am born and raised in Arizona and have been hunting ever since my dad could take me with him on his own trips until I turned the legal hunting age here in Arizona. Growing up we mainly hunted Coues Deer, Turkeys, Javelina and the occasional Elk tag if we were lucky. I became hooked on hunting at a young age and then once I graduated high school and was figuring life out I really became obsessed. It wasn't until I was 20 years old when I got to go on my first Desert Sheep hunt. Everyone in the sheep world talks about the "sheep bug", once you go on a hunt you get hooked. Well i'd say thats true because everyday of my life since then I think of sheep hunting or talk about sheep hunting. I was hooked! From youtube videos, books, friendships and everything in between, I wanted more and more! Id find myself on sheep hunts through friendships I made almost every year after the first, learning from others with the same passion. When I was 25 I started guiding full time for work in Nevada, Arizona and Sonora Mexico. I would guide Mule Deer, Elk and most importantly Bighorn Sheep. After many years of guiding I kept telling myself I need to go on my own and guide sheep on my own name. I knew the guiding world is super competitive and very small in the business of Sheep hunting. Even though I had doubts I knew my obsession, passion and drive for sheep hunting is greater than anyone around me throughout the years. I had a plan, ideas and a goal but a speed bump occurred. I drew my own Desert Sheep tag in 2022! I couldn't believe it, at 29 years old I had an Arizona Desert Sheep tag. I told myself next year is the year, in 2023 I will start Doster Outfitting. I knew I was the youngest and believe I still am the youngest sheep outfitter in Arizona but nothing was going to stop me from achieving a dream. My first year was the most nerve wracking, but with my relationships and the people I knew in the hunting industry I ended up booking four clients! Three Desert tags and one Rocky tag. Since then the last three seasons have all been awesome, cant thank my past clients enough for trusting me with a special tag they had and i'm even more excited about the future. You cant draw a tag if you don't apply!
